I just finished reading an advance copy of The Hakawati. Wow! It was one of those books that one is sad to have finished.
you had an advanced copy? i am jealous. why did you publish anonymous esp since you said something nice? it's funny, as a blogger, when "we" see anonymous, i gear up to read something nasty and possibly delete it!
i pre-ordered my copy. i have 50ish pages to write in the next couple of weeks, so it's good i do NOT have that book yet. I love Rabih. I read at RAWI last May.
He is so humble and generous and has such a cool presence. He is a brilliant writer but does not act like is all that. there are so many well-known folks who think people should faun all over them. Rabih deserves to have groupies! glad his writing is getting some play.
