Shlama Nayj,

do you think this activism can help. I might not be that much interseted in keep up the face of Muslims in North America.

but i would love to see some slidarity activism amongst Iraqis living in the diaspora, i would die for some secular, Iraqi nationalist coalition, we can start doing it grassroots.

but it needs like minded efforts with some passion. other than that, i am just a regular bloger.

I AGREE WITH YOU AND would also "love to see some solidarity activism amongst Iraqis living in the diaspora. I would die for some secular, Iraqi nationalist coalition. we can start doing it grassroots."

what do you suggest? let's start brainstorming. what do you have in mind? LET'S KEEP TALKING.

not sure what you meant here: "interested in keep up the face of Muslims in North America."
maybe you could clarify for readers. thanks.

nayj,

there are many things we can do, but we need creative individuals and have the will to do something for a change.
we can utilize what we have in the west as a starter.

we have in iraq hhmmm...people suffering from secterian division, a sense of victimization on all sides, militias gaining power, neighbouring countries with almost a monotonic political perspective, we have a funny governmet that debates of how the flag will look like and not doing soemthing to secure ppl's lives.

first thing that comes to mind, is to do workshop, with all iraqis from all backgrounds and social status, let them speak their opinions, and try if we can do something to iraq, the easiest fund raising but that is still so bla, i find it important to have something grassroot in Iraq to mend hearts and try to wither away political influences that is stopping ppl from voicing their true opinions.....we need real reports on what is happening in iraq...we need to revive the civil soceity in iraq, we need ppl with minds......
how to do it and what not, needs more brainstorming.........i am just saying stuff out of the top of my heard, other than that, i dunno, i am just a regular iraqi canadian gal :D

lets our thoughts forumulate and see from where we go from there......

shlamma :)

not so much interested religion, and i would love to see more activism directed towards iraq.

Muslims can do themselves a favor and admit their faults and they can work from there. but happy Ramada for everyone, and hopefuly it will pass peacefuly, as i love to have my shorba in peace.

shlamma, b'shana thaylek. you are no ordinary 'girl' since you are a thinker, a blogger, a writer. I have to go to bed, but I am going to think about what you said so we can continue brainstorming on what to do as Iraqis.
